Treo part II

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I was able to upgrade my cell phone to a Treo 650 if I ordered by phone. To followup…
I called Verizon later that week to order the phone. Not so fast, they say (not really, but work with me here). When you’re renewing by phone, it’s not just one single step — you have to renew the contract first, in writing, then you can order new equipment.
So, the contract went out (again, home to mom — see the previous post on this topic), got signed, and sent back. I happened to check Verizon’s site this afternoon, and spotted that the current plan listed on my account is the newer, slightly-upgraded plan I’d ordered. So, I called them back, confirmed just that, and ordered the new phone.
I should be, if all goes well, the new owner of a Palm Treo 650 this Tuesday. Add to that a new belt clip that fits this phone, and off we go.
