Pennsylvania 500

Pocono 192

Some photos of yesterday’s NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Pennsylvania 500 from Pocono Raceway. Yeah, a lot of the views of things on the front stretch really rather sucked. That’s the disadvantage of Pocono — the front stretch racing groove is so close to the near wall that the cars are hard to see a lot of the time.

Yvonne and I are thinking about making a trip to the Corning Museum of Glass today en route back to Rochester from Johnson City (Binghamton area). If we do, I’ll see if we can get any pictures there, too.

    Corning museum is awesome!
I love it when the have the furnace active and you can watch them blowing glass. The technique is amazing, how they cut and shape it...

I was always amazed at amorphous crystalline substances, the science is just so neat.

    Prince Ruperts teardrops forever!
  • We did go, though the camera stayed in the car. No one stopped me from taking it, just kinda left it behind.

I'd been before, Yvonne hadn't. 'twas fun times, and Yvonne wants to go back to have more time to look around the glass market. :)

  • I highly recommend the CMoG. And it looks like you had decent seats, you bastard. ;p
