Kid Nation – Episode 3
Oct 4, 2007 That's Hot
Thoughts on episode 3, typed mostly as I watch:
- I don’t care how pissed off he is, Greg needs to mind his tongue, in public if nowhere else. I’d cut him some slack to take his words indoors someplace where he’s not being profane in front of younger kids, but don’t expose the 8-, 9- and 10-year-olds to that.
- Not much to say on the curfew idea. The earlier they’re in bed, the earlier they can get up in the morning and be ready to work.
- Congrats to the Green District for getting out of the labor class! It’s not upper class or merchants, but it’s something!
- Yellow taking upper class probably isn’t helpful to them. It’s just going to encourage them to sit on their butts and do nothing.
- It’s nice to see the council considering gold star candidates beyond the older kids who are obviously capable of doing harder physical work. I just hope Greg doesn’t go off on someone if he doesn’t get it this time through.
- True, the upper class has no assigned duties, but it doesn’t excuse Yellow District’s lack of work ethic when they were in the kitchen the first two episodes.
- Way to go Mallory! $20,000… what a birthday gift!
- They need an election, seriously. Taylor needs to get booted out on her butt. “I’m a pageant queen and I’m better than you” is grating on nerves, mostly mine.
Tune in next week…
