Kid Nation – Episode 8
Nov 11, 2007 That's Hot
“Starved for Entertainment”
As has become usual, lately, I’m a little behind on this, but here goes. The Amazing Race from tonight to follow along shortly thereafter.
- Oh, she’s died!
- It’s a sleep-in!
- Oh, we can’t entertain ourselves, now? Make something up already!
- Talent Show!
- Anjay’s scared of stand-up comedy, or Olivia’s stand-up comedy?
- I’m ironically amused a little bit that the council is promoting entertainers the week of the beginning of the writers’ strike.
- I wonder how many of the other people in town know who Shakespeare is, aside from Jared.
- It’s not hard to tell that Olivia and Anjay aren’t the best of friends.
- Oh, that would be interesting, a comic sendup of Romeo & Juliet.
- OMG, Alex, be thankful you don’t know who Paris and Nicole are!
- Interesting idea, throwing the Showdown to force your team to do some work…
- “…but we’d have to work, too!” Uh, isn’t that the point?
- Aww. That’s sweet of Alex to try to help Savannah cheer up. He’s a good egg.
- (OK, I don’t normally comment on the commercials, but I have to see Enchanted.)
- Green has to win a Showdown eventually. Everyone else’s been to the top of the totem pole.
- Oh, dear. This isn’t a biohazard or anything. Hope none of the kids has anything contagious…
- Heh, nice threat from Greg. That only seems to work once, though.
- Dance fever!
- Wow, that was a scare… thought Green wasn’t gonna make it!
- D’oh! no reward.
- WTG Green District!
- Hmm. Dunno if Savannah is gonna stick around this week.
- Hahaha… “boys’ smelly poisoning…”
- Nice piano from Kelsey!
- It’s a bird!
- Hmm. I’m detecting the lack of enthusiasm I expected from the audience. I don’t know if that’s polite applause or not.
- Oh dear, Blaine in drag.
- Olivia was pretty good. Maybe not as sophisticated as I’d expect from an adult, but she did really well.
- Kennedy was pure goofball, which is fun somtimes.
- Announcement?
- Okay, that was a total build-up for nothing, methinks.
- Divad seems to be pretty regular self-promoter.
- Olivia and Kennedy are both up there in the minds of the council, it appears. I’d lean toward Kennedy, myself, since, like they said, she helped talk Savannah out of leaving.
- Hah! Impromptu song!
- Damn, she’s GOOD.
- No, I mean REALLY GOOD.
- I think she even stunned Jonathan.
- Yay Kennedy!
- Divad would make a good politician. She does good work — just ask her, she’ll tell ya.
- Interesting, a district shuffle next week. And damn, they’re getting bitter…
A review of this week’s The Amazing Race should be along soon, after I finish watching it.
