One of these days, I’ll blog a results show before the day of the next performance show.

• Over 30 million votes (highest this season for a single performance show) this week.
• Video package for the songwriting competition.
• In honor of the last show’s “the year you were born” theme, the ensemble sings”Right Back Where We Started From.”
• iTunes download plug in the form of a video showing them record the songs in the studio. Carly squees over seeing her face on her iPhone’s cover art for the one of her singles.
• Recapping the performance show. I predicted Ramiele, Jason and Chikezie for the bottom three, with Ramiele going home.
• “Lights down, music up, Chikezie on the stage.”
• Immediate shoot-down. Chikezie goes to the bottom three.
• Brooke White makes her way on stage. After politicking a little over her choice of arrangements last night, she goes to the sofa and is safe.
• Carly Smithson shoots down an apparently breaking rumor that she’s pregnant, and goes to the sofa.
• Ford music video: “I Want You To Want Me”
• David Archuleta and David Cook are quickly sent sofa-ward. Syesha Mercado joins Chikezie in the bottom three.
• Michael Johns goes to the sofa, while Ryan announces next week’s mentor: Dolly Parton.
• Question time! Sarah, 23 of Atlanta, GA, asks Chikezie if he’s single. Chikezie: very much so. Ryan invites viewers to Chikezie’s weekend pad.
• Nicole, 22 of Orrville, OH asks David Archuleta why he chose “You’re The Voice” last night. David: “It’s one of my all-time favorite songs.”
• Ari, 16 of Danville, CA wants to take Ryan’s job. Simon: “The good news is, you don’t need a lot of talent, so there’s a chance for everyone.”
• Caitlin, 16 of Albuquerque, NM asks Brooke White, “If you could collaborate with any other artist, who would it be?” Brooke: “Somebody today? Probably John Mayer.”
• Vanessa, 13 of Kingwood, TX asks Simon, “Do you consider yourself the most attractive person on the show?” Simon: “It’s not what I say, it’s what other people say.”
• Season two top-three contestant Kimberley Locke has an intro video, followed by a performance.
• Plug for April 9th’s Idol Gives Back show, with a video on how last year’s proceeds helped out close to home.
• Results resume with Ramiele Malubay, and is declared safe.
• Jason Castro and Kristy Lee Cook are brought out as the last two. Kristy is safe. Jason, Syesha and Chikezie are the bottom three.
• Jason is saved from extinction first, followed by Syesha. Chikezie leaves the show this week.
