- Okay, wow, what the hell is Paula wearing?
- There, it’s been clarified. Randy didn’t make Syesha cry, Paula did.
- Idols perform: Steely Dan’s “Reeling In the Years”
- Last night’s show recapped.
- David Archuleta is called to the stage first and is called safe.
- Video package: flying to Vegas for “Cirque du Soleil: The Beatles - Love”. They got mobbed almost like the original Fab Four.
- I think that dolphin almost attacked Jason.
- David Cook is called out on stage. Jason and Syesha look nervous.
- The Davids are safe. The other two are called to the stage.
- “The person who will be leaving us tonight…” “You’re going to tell us now???” “No, we’re going to a break.”
- Ford music video: “Ring of Fire”
- Q&A time! Emily, 24 from Pennsylvania, asks David Cook, “On July 29, which is my birthday, you will be on tour in Pittsburgh (my hometown). Would you like to go out on a date?” Ryan puts her on hold to have David figure this out later.
- Sarah, 14 from Bloomington, IN, asks the idols, “What has been the biggest challenge you have had to overcome?” Syesha: “Stage fright.” Archuleta waffles, while Jason speaks the truth: “Just the brain being dead…”
- Allison, 25 from Columbia, SC, asks Simon why the Queen hasn’t knighted him yet. Simon: “Your Majesty, if you’re watching, I’m available!”
- Mara, 13 from Nazareth, PA asks Syesha what it’s like to be the only girl left in the top four. Syesha: I’m proud of my accomplishments, but it’s sometimes uncomfortable…
- Teresa, 42 from Detroit, MI asks everyone, “Have you gotten feedback from any of the artists whose songs you have performed?” David Cook talked to someone from Our Lady Peace after her performed “Innocent,” who liked the performance.
- Marla, 45 from Cleveland, OH asks Simon if he’s ever acted. “I think you could be the next James Bond.” Simon: “Mr Broccoli, if you’re watching, I’m available!” I’m not sure he is… he’s been dead for almost 12 years.
- Maroon 5 performs. I must say, it’s interesting to see what faces some of these voice come from.
- Bo Bice performs. While Ryan talks to him after the song, Jason looks completely uncomfortable on the sofa.
- Syesha Mercado and Jason Castro are back to center stage. Jason: “Someone told me I shot the tambourine man yesterday…”
- Syesha… is in the top three. She looks like she’s going to faint. Jason Castro goes home.
- Ryan: “You almost look relieved…” “Three songs next week, I don’t know what I would have done…”
