Dramatis Procuratio
Nov 2, 2008 Politics, That's Hot
(Concession: that was probably very horribly internet-translated and butchered Latin. Dramatis personæ is supposed to mean “the masks of the drama,” so I tried to make “the masks of the administration.” If I got it too awfully wrong, please correct me in the comments.

I’ve been watching “The West Wing” a lot lately. In the last three weeks or so, I’ve watched almost all of the first two seasons; as I’m writing this, I’ve got the last two episodes of season two to go.
Something about the Presidential election season prompted me to do it, I’m not sure why.
“The West Wing” was an awesome show. Even given dramatic license, it was really neat to see what might go on inside a White House administration. One of the greatest parts about it was that, even though I disagree with half of the Bartlet administration’s political viewpoints, it was always still a very entertaining and thought provoking drama that pulled you in each week.
I didn’t watch the first season when it first aired in 1999-2000, but started in on the second in the fall of 2000 with the resolution to the first season’s cliffhanger, and was hooked to the end of the show. I really would have liked to have seen it go on with the next administration; it was an easy way to revitalize the show with a mostly fresh cast. Alas, it did not, so here I watch the DVDs again, for my third time through the show.
Did you ever watch “The West Wing,” and if so, did you enjoy it as much as I do?
