US iTunes customers (and if you’re in the US and not one… why the hell aren’t you?) can dowload a free 34-song album of music by artists who are customers of TuneCore, a service that helps artists get listed on the iTunes Store. Details can be found at TUAW.

Every year I make myself a mix CD of some of the best songs (in a combination of the chart toppers and my own opinion) of the year.  Coming up on the end of 2007, I’ve got some room left on this year’s mix, and I’m not sure what to put in yet.  Here’s what I have so far (links go to the iTunes Store):
